BB is Jenna!

Today was BB play at church. She was a dumb kid named Jenna! She did real well. It was all done behind a screen. It was a real unique experience. She said you don't have to get nervous because you can't see anyone. She was so excited to hang out back stage at church! She had a sound a check and wore a wireless mic! It was a great experience for her. She did amazing! Good Job BB!

What a difference a day makes!

Yesterday forty degrees and today it rained! I have never seen rain in Dec! Guess what happens when it rains and then the temp rapidly drops? You guessed it ice skating rinks everywhere! We could probably ice skate on the driveway! Agent M is stuck at agent G's house on a school night! I am sure he is very upset! Only Nana braved the weather for christmas at moms house! This is the first time in my life I think we will not get together with the Wi clan for thanksgiving and Christmas!

Forty degrees in Dec!

It was forty degrees on Dec.13,2008. We had to get out and enjoy it. Dad made agent an e a snow board. He took an old skate board, took the wheels off and screwed on a pair of agent e's boots. He put him at the top of the hill in our backyard and he made it all the way down to the bottom with out falling. He is a natural! To bad it is such an expensive sport! He was out there for at least an hour. He would go down and then drag himself back up! I was having so much fun watching him I forgot to take a picture. Agent A however got a cute one of BB's snowman! She is so creative. They played so well together all day. It is so fun as aparent when the kids get along!

Art

Agent e has been learning so much at the home school co-op about art. He knows about: Monet, Michael Angelo, Di Vinci and what they painted! He knows more than I do. So I thought we better do an art project. We built a house! He had a lot of fun! I am artistically challenged!

Agent M is up to his old tricks

Agent M had an all night party at church this weekend. I told him before he went , he was not allowed to get hurt. When I picked him up, sure enough he got hurt again! First big toe, then right thumb followed by two teeth kocked out, now his left ring finger. Back to the hospital we go! Luckily it is only sprained. He only has to wear the splint for 1 week. At school when someone gets hurt they are now calling it a Agent M!

Facebook

I haven't been blogging for awhile. I have been obsessed with facebook. Some of the kids from our young adults group started a bible study group. So I had to join. Now I find myself spending huge chunks of time searching for friends! It is fun, but addictive for me. A friend told me it wears off pretty quickly, but is still a very convenient tool.

Beauty and the Beast

BB had her play. She was the maid. She did a very good job. She just couldn't stop smiling. Her good friend Emily and her family came to watch. Both grandpas and grandma were there. It was so much fun.

First Level 7 meet

KK had her first meet. She did really well for her first level 7. She fell off the beam and did not get a high enough cast on the bar. She still pulled off a 32.8. She would have been more then 1 point higher W/o those 2 mistakes. Way to go KK, you rock!

Halloween

KK had gymnastics on Halloween. She went to a friends house after for a sleep over. Agent M had Agent G sleep over. I said they were to old for trick/treating. Agent M agreed but Agent G still wanted to go. He even brought a costume! In the end the draw of video games was stronger then the urge for trick/treating. I told them to hand out the candy. We live in a quiet neighborhood and do not get to many kids. I was surprised to come home and see the big bowl of candy gone! Agent M said he gave each kid a big handful. I said you did not have to give them that much. He said I know but they all loved me!
BB and agent E went out with some friends for awhile and then we went to a church. We had a lot of fun. Agent E is not so sure about all the scary costumes, but who can blame him. All my kids have not liked evil things. Which I am thankful for there sensitive spirits. We got lots of candy and even saw a magic show. Agent E was happy to be with his best bud Agent H and BB loves his little brothers.

Scary Dance

KK had to do a scary dance for a halloween gymnastics meet. It was a cute dance but all of there girls were very scary looking. It was hard to pick her out of the crowd!

A baby tooth!

First agent M broke his thumb, followed by his big toe. Now he got hit in the mouth with a football and knocked his tooth loose. It just wouldn't tighten up. So I took him to the dentist. The good news is it was a baby tooth. The bad news is it took me $75 to find that out. Now today he lost another one that must have loosened up from the hit. I am hoping that was also a baby tooth.

BB is on a role

BB just got a part in a play at church. She plays a stupid kid! She is not stupid just struggling in school. I will let you know when the performance will be. Also last night we got a phone call from the corn maze (girls day out) they drew her name as the winner of a gift basket, out of all the people who visited the farm! We had a good day today. We picked up her present, then went to auditions, followed by play practice at church. It was all about BB today!

A star is born!

BB tried out for Beauty and the beast. She will play the part of the maid. She will be opening Friday night 8pm at CIS. Followed by her closing performance at 10am on Sat. Come one come all! It should be a lot of fun.

Agent E

Agent E has been telling me I should have done this a long time ago and he gives me a sweet kiss. I don't know where he picked that up but I love it!

Micahs Tree

When we moved in our current house Agent M was 4 yrs old and he picked out a small Maple tree for our front yard. It is now a big and glorious tree. The kids can even climb in it now. BB brings blankets and stuffed animals up there. I am always pulling stuff out of the tree. I love that tree. Here is a picture of now 13yr old agent M hanging in his tree.

Gods little treasures

Some of you know we had a fire at our house this year. All the little things you keep thru the years that you can't replace our gone! Well since then we have been working hard to make this place liveable again. All the things that did not have a home or I did not know what to do with ended up in the storage room! Every time I go in there it was driving me crazy! Finally yesterday I tackled it. While I was sorting through my kids drawers (where they put all there keepsakes) I found: The tape agent A made me for our wedding, my tassels from my graduation, Agent As diploma and the corsage he gave me when we went to prom, and other misc treasures. I felt it was a direct gift from God. How could they end up in there? God cares about the little things. Thank you Lord for the gifts you gave me today! Help me to notice what you do for me each day.
Oh, I also have a clean and organized storage room. Which is a gift in and of itself!

Mexican Mondays

Thanks to Bat moms example, we started Mexican Mondays. Bat mom has pizza and movies every Friday. We always want to go visit them on Fridays! (you can follow her life at mngranola blogspot) We have a busy schedule and the only day we are all home is Monday. So we started Mexican monday! We try to eat dinner together and play a family game. The kids are so excited about this. So far we have had tacos, and taco salad. If anyone has great mexican ideas, -please advise! I think we will do super Nachos this week!

We have a teenager!

Yesterday agent M turned 13! I can't believe we have a teenager. I felt bad because his birthday fell on MEA weekend so everyone was out of town, and no one could make it to his party! We made up for it by buying quote "This is the best present I have ever got!" Agent M loves to play the game Guitar Hero, but we did not want him playing that game. It has bad graphics and lyrics. So when I found out they were coming out with a christian version, I new I had to get it for him. He loves it! It was so fun to watch him play. He is so good. The bonus is while he is playing, he is hearing christian lyrics, instead of sx drgs and rock and roll.

Grandpa K and our rich uncle came over. We went out for pizza. Who new at the neighborhood pizza place they would come out and sing happy birthday and bring you a piece of cheese cake! It could help that we our friends with the owner?

MEA

Last night right after school, we ran up to the North Shore. We needed a little family break and bonding time. That is our favorite spot to go. However with the changing weather, we tried somthing different! We stayed at a hotel with an indoor water park. It was a lot of fun and 90 degrees. (My camera had a dead battery, so no pics:{ ) The best part was they let agent E do everything. In the past most places we go say he is to short! This place let the little guys try everything. He went down the big water slide. He was with mom, it was pitch black in there! He climbed across the ropes course and we floated on the lazy river. There was also a little tikes area. They have a volcano that blows out smoke and a large Tiki bucket that dumps out water every few minutes! Even agent M who wanted to stay home had a great time!(cast and all!) Just one day but it was worth it. We all had fun and it feels like we went some where exotic!

Girls day out

Today the 3 girls, went out with the neighbor 3 girls. First went to a corn maze. It was a lot of fun. We let the 2 older girls go on there own and the 2 mom and 2 younger girls went together. We were racing to see who could get done first. The moms group won! The girls were real smart though. They put an x in the dirt on all the paths they went down. I never would have thought of that!

They played in a corn pit, played in hay pit, road pedal go carts around a track, jumped in a big inflatable pumpkin and launched potatoes. A whole day of fun for only $7 each.

For supper we went to Sonic. It was fun I have never been to one. It has an old fashioned drive up and waiters bring you your food on roller blades! The food was real good and reasonably priced. FYI- If you are driving a one ton truck with big everything you might not fit! The poor lady next to us smashed her mirror and scratched the whole side of her truck! It was sad.) I recommend the smoothies!

Finally we went shopping and each of the girls got a new webkins. I got a real good deal on them so I had to pick one up for agent E. He likes to play with his sisters. He got a snake and he named him GRR. He was so excited! ( If you don.t know what that is, It is a stuffed animal you can play with online in a virtual world!)

Rainy Day

We have a rain coat that has been through a lot of love and use. First it was my brothers. Then agent M, followed by KK, next BB and finally agent E. It is starting to wear out. It is fun that it has lasted this long. I remember seeing my little brother wear it, and now each of my children.

Field trip

We took our first field trip with agent E's friend agent h. We went to the apple orchard. First we got lost in road construction. That did not bother us because super mom brought snacks and toys for the boys and we always enjoy long talks. Two hours felt like 15 minutes.( Agent H's mom is the super hero!) Now it was time for LE to nurse. So super mom fed baby while I took the boys on a walk to find a real cool park. We smashed crab apples on the sidewalk, rolled and ran down a real cool hill, and finally found a real fun park. Once we went back to the van, everyone was ready for lunch. We found a subway, and called the orchard for directions! Before we even arrive to the orchard we have already had a fun adventure!
Now we find the orchard easily. We open the van door and what do we hear? Thunder! By the way it is getting so late by now I need to be home t get my other kids from school! So we quickly look at all the chickens, goats ( the cutest chicks in MN) By the way we were actually able to see a goat 10 minutes after it was born! We head to pick some apples. As the thunder booms and rain drops start we take a few pics and start heading for the store. The rain let up for a minute so we checked out the pumpkins. We let them each pick a gourd and of course my son picks the one that looks most like a gun! Even though we were not at the orchard very long a fun day was had by all!

How old were you?

Do you remember how old you were when you started to care how you look? When my kids are little I dress them up cute, make sure they brush there hair and teeth! Then there comes a time when they want to pick out there own clothes and take care of themselves. I bite the bullet and let them wear orange knee high socks with red shorts a purple sweatshirt and sandals!!!!!!!! I try to remind them to brush there hair and teeth but leave it up to them. So they usually don't match, brush there teeth once in awhile and hair occasionally. Unless we are going somewhere important. I try not to say to much. (pick my battles) Then one day out of the blue you notice, clothes matching, hair brushed, and deodorant, without saying a word! That was the last 2 days for BB. On Monday I notice she brushed her hair and had on a cute outfit! I was impressed. (She gets up at 7:17, and we leave the house at 7:20) Then Tuesday night at bed time she brushed her hair and teeth and put on some makeup. ( I told her we don't usually where makeup to bed. She said that is ok I don't sleep on my face!) So I realized, she is growing up. That made me think of KK. Who was also 4th grade when I started to notice the same things.
For M that was 6th grade. Right after Christmas he was asking for certain brands, wearing deodorant and brushing his hair! Then I realized, if I could just get a girl to tell him to brush his teeth we would be doing great!
I remember the exact moment I started caring about what I wear. It was at the end of 3rd grade. I was sitting on the floor at school, listening to the teacher. When Missy said to me, Why are you wearing those ugly boy socks? I looked down and thought why am I wearing these ugly boy socks? I never thought about it until then. I never cared about until then. From then on I started to think about what I was wearing.
So now I realize it is girls who get boys to start caring about how they look. It is also girls who get girls to care about how they look. There could be exceptions but not to many 4th or 5th grade boys are going to say something to a girl about how they dress! That doesn't come until later, but that is a whole different topic!

History in the making

We took the kids to go meet John McCain and Sarah Palin. It was a good experience. Now the kids can say they saw the President!( Ok wishful thinking) They were a little disappointed, because they expected to actually meet them. However 15,000 other people were thinking the same thing. They were still happy because we took them out of school. The big ones will probably always remember this day.

Afterwards we took them over the new 35w bridge. We will take awards for super parents now! Wait I think we might have been disqualified, from all the fighting in the car. Oh wait did I say that out loud? We are the perfect happy family, just a little rough around the edges. Just so you don't think we are stick in the muds. We also went go-cart racing and mini-golfing for fun. (Agent A pulled off the win by one point!)

Injuries, Injuries and more Injuries!

First KK hyper extended her knee. She was out of gymnastics for 2 weeks! She could not finish her state champion BMX racing series. She had 2 second place finishes so far!
Second Agent M broke his right hand at BMX. Just in time for school starting. (He actually is writing pretty good left handed) He waits all year for football to start. He was so disappointed to get injured right before the season started. He is hoping to get the cast off in time to play in a few games.
Finally, just after KK was getting comfortable doing her routines again. She was doing a back lay out and landed on her neck. Her body was folded in half with her feet over head. Thank God she did not injure her neck! However she has a severe sprain of her sternum. The doctor has only seen such an injury one other time! She will be out for 3 weeks!
I feel like I have been living at the doctors! This would be a warning sign to most people. Even though I start to question what in the world are we allowing our kids to do? I still think we have to let them follow there dreams! They can get hurt falling on a laundry basket at home! Oh wait that was BB! See I knew it!

Back To School!

I know what your thinking! This is not about the kids, this is about me! After 15 years I am back in the class room! I can't believe it. Don't worry we only have to learn a 610 page book in 2 weeks!
"Agent" A and I are going to school to get our Real Estate License. Our background in new construction is a big help. All of our current life struggles are also a help! It is still a lot to learn. The more I learn the more I realize, how much I don't know!
We now have the first part done!!!!!!!!!! Now we have the hard part passing the test. Once we pass the test (positive thinking) we have 60 more hours of school. Then I can sell all of your houses for you.

You Go Girl!

I am so proud of Sarah Palin. I never thought it would be possible to actual have a real person elected in this country. I thought only rich people could do that. It excites me that someone not even seeking this position, has this opportunity. It actually gives me hope in this country again. The American Dream has been so out of reach, for so long. This is the American dream! This gives credibility to all the parents who say you can be anything you want: even president! I never thought that was true.
Not only that but she is a woman! She is a mother! She is a Christian! and a whole lot more. I know this sounds dumb but I felt like it could be me! ( OK me on Steroids!) She is truly an amazing woman. I think like Ester : God has brought her here for such a time as this. She speaks her mind and I think she just might be able to accomplish something!
They have been trying to tare her apart, and I am sick of it! However she doesn't let it affect her. She just gives it right back. That is a strong woman. I could not handle people attacking my family. They should be ashamed of themselves.
God bless and take care of Sarah Palin and her family.

Where were you?

People always remember where they were when somthing tragic happens. I have always heard people say I was doing this during JFK or similar events. I was never old enough to remember them. This time I can say I know where I was during 911. I was on my way to take MAK to kindergarten. I remember telling his car pool about it. Back then I did not even know what the wtc was! ( I can't believe MAC is already in 7th grade! Where did my little boy go?) When I got home I told Alan to turn on the TV. (I don't think I had a cell phone back then) I watched for a little while but then I had to take KK to preschool. ( Long gone our the preschool days of KK! My little girl has entered Middle School this year!) My friend Anne came home with me to watch it on TV. When we got home AK was crying because both of the towers had just come down! We were all in shock!!! We knew our country was under attack and we were debating if we should go pull our kids out of school! We decided they were pretty safe. Then we started trying to get a hold of big KK. AKs brother lived in New York, not to far away from there. After several hours we found out he was safe! Please feel free to share your own thoughts our memories of 911. We need to remember our history. MAK remebers 911, but all the others were to young. Hug your loved ones today. Pray for our armed forces. God Bless America!

Its a hard knock life!

Last night BK tried out for Annie! I was so proud of her. She went up on the stage in front of an audience and with someone playing the piano sang Maybe. She did such a good job. I was so proud of her. She sang on tune, with the music and pretty loud.( she will get better at that with more experience) I know we will be doing this more often. She was in her element. She was beautiful. Unfortunately 200 other girls were also trying to be Annie! She did not make it this time, but the sun will come out tomorrow!

Princess Party!

My neighbor had the coolest party. It was a princess party. My kids were not invited. However it ended up being the day of the funeral. So they invited the kids to come over. (so thoughtful) All the little girls were dressed up. So agent E put on his ninja costume and said he was the dragon. Bk put on a cute dress and was the Queen. KK just helped out.
They made a castle out of boxes and I just have to share some of the pictures,

Homeschooling!

Well I did it. I completed one whole week of homeschooling. Guess what we survived and even had some fun! He even learned a few things. It is very rewarding to see progress in only a week. I can see Gods hand guiding me. I am getting to know agent E in a new way. I am glad we have this time together. He is growing up so fast.

How can you do it all?

How do you do everything? I have a million things I need to be doing. I have a million things I want to be doing. Most are good things that need to be done. Everyone needs something from me! So why do I just want to lay on the coach and do nothing????????????

Beautiful Dandelion!

On Tuesday we said goodbye to Mema. It was a sad day. While we were at the cemetary, I was holding K as she cried. That made me cry all the more. E came over to me with a dandelion and said here mom I have a flower for you! He is already trying to take care of me. Thanks E! I will always remember that love.

Please Pray!

Yesterday my in-laws were in a head on crash. My father-in-law is in stable condition. However after fighting for her life all day yesterday my mother-in -law went home to be with Jesus. She just had to much trauma to pull thru. After giving her maasive amounts of blood and plasma transfusions all day. Her blood would not clot. Her whole body was just filling up with blood and fluid. The doctors told us there was nothing else they could do for her. After a long hard desision, we decided to let her die on her own. Right after we talked to his dad about it. He said let her go. She does not want extra means to keep her alive with no chance of recovery. Once he gave her permission to go, she left us within a minute on her own. It was as if he gave her permission to go, and she left. I feel as though she was still protecting us in the end. We did not have to unplug her, she made the choice to go herself. She just ned our permission.
Please pray for my husband and our 4 children. She lived across the street from us and they saw her everyday. Please pray For her husband, who has some major trauma himself and has just lost his wife of 48 years on there 48th wedding anniversary.
Thanking you God for all the years we had with her. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. As of August 6,2008 at 6:20 pm we commit her into your hands. We rejoice with her that she is running on streets of gold and has no more pain. We just mourn for ourselves, because we wanted her here with us.

Preschool/ Kinder helpful tool

I am so excited about this handwriting activity I found. My son hates writing. I have been trying anything, I can find to get him to write. Today I found this Learn to Letter with guidelines. It takes handwriting paper and indents the letters. So you can write in the indented part and get the feel for it. If they are a hands on learner, they can feel the grooves. I am so excited I think it will be great for him.( I haven't tried it yet!) I will let you know how it goes. I found it at Wal-mart, for around $3.50. It is a new writing system by Mead. There are other activity books that looked fun too but this one I was excited about.

Summer camp! Day 7

Well camp was fun. I am glad that it is over. One week away from home is enough for me. K had a great experience. I would like to do it again next year, but I don't like the idea of missing agent E birthday again. So we will have to see.
One of the boys in the kitchen (14 years old) said other than my mom, you are the coolest mom I know! He said he was going to miss me! Wow! That is pretty amazing coming from a 14 year old boy! I do have to say for some unknown reason, I was known as the wild and crazy mom?! The camp director would ask me every morning so what did you do yesterday?
Mid week K went in the dunk tank. When I saw that I said, give me the first throw. With one try I dunked her. I was very proud of myself! So on the last day, I let her have revenge. I climbed up in the dunk tank. However she missed. Because I was such a cool mom, I let the kids who worked in the kitchen with me, take a shot as well. So needless to say, I got wet. It was fun. For now my camp adventures are done!

Summer Camp! Day 6

This week I was given a rare glimpse into the future. There was this amazing women named Rochelle at camp. She was the activities director. I love her. She is truely an amazing women. She reminds me of my little B. There looks and personality were a lot alike. Somtimes I have a hard time with the energentic silly girl. However I was very fond of the energentic silly women! She was very mature and yet funny all at once. I can only hope my B grows up to be a beautiful Godly women, while still able to mantain her God given goofiness!
B came up with the family to visit us. I was able to introduce them. They got along great. There is a real good picture of the 2 of them together. ( I hope I can get a copy of it!)
We spent the night on an air matteress on the dock! (Rochelles idea!) It was fun. Definitely not something I would have ever thought of!
We were able to go to a small town in Wi to watch the fire works. With Rochelle and another amazing girl Ally) We thought it would be a small short show. However it was one of the best showsI have ever seen. It was constant and never ending. It was a great night!

Summer Camp! Day 5

This was another hard day for me. I am missing my husband and kids! (sh! a few more tears!) I am such a baby! I have never been away from my husband this long! He is so sweet. Parents can send kids bunk mail. He sent me a bunk mail!!! He was also text messaging me. I haven't done that much. It made me feel like a love struck teenager! We need to be apart more often!
I forgot to tell you that k's group this week was coached by Maddie. She is one of the girls from the movie Stick It. It is a fun gymnastics movie. (pg-13, I am very picky about what my kids watch, however I did let her watch this) It was fun to hear all the behind the scenes secrets! K was excited to be coached by a movie star!
I was very proud of her today. She faced her fear and did somthing she really wanted to try. It was a bungee trampoline. They launch you about 50 feet in the air! She was able to do 4 back tucks before she came back down! She also dod a high ropes course. She is a lot braver than me! You couldn't pay me enough to try those things!
Just when I was hving a hard day the guy in the kitchen worked me to the bone. I worked 8.5 hours in the kitchen today, and I was at my breaking point! When it was only 6 hours I did not mind it, but every day he just kept finding more and more and more and more for me to do!!!!!!!
Stay tuned

Summer Camp! Day 4

Today was very exciting. (I don't know if you know much about Gymnastics.) Shannon Miller is the most decorated womens US gymnast. She was helping coach today! I took a picture of her helping K do a double back extension on the high beam! It was very exciting. Most girls can not do that skill. Shannon was very excited K could do it. Shannon use to compete it. She encouraged K to keep doing it, even if no one else is. It will help her to get noticed by the judges!
Because her gym brought 20 gymnast the got to have a private session with Shannon and she talked to them about facing fear! It was amazing. Somthing K will remember the rest of her life!
One of the girls in K's room was picked to be tucked in by Shannon Miller! So she got to have another Q & A session with her in her romm before bed. It was so cool! Things have been going so well for her this week. More adventures to come

Summer camp! Day 3

Today I am sad! It is my sons 5th birthday and I am not home. ( a little secret, I was even crying!) Sh! Don't tell! My husband called today, He told me my son does not even miss me! So that made me feel so much better! Right????
We celebrated his birthday before I left. He has a best friend agent H, and they were born the exact same day! I think that will make them friends for life. They are kinda like twins except they have different parents! They were always trying to figure out who is older. I think they finally figured out they are the same. So far they have not figured out to ask what time of the day! I hope we have a few more years before that happens. They went to Chuck E. Cheese together! It was a lot of fun.
However I have not missed any of my childrens birthdays ever! It just doesn't feel right! I know I took a side trip. So more about camp later!

Summer Camp! day 2

We survived the first night and she did not try to find me in the middle of the night! Wow it was strange to sleep in bunk bed with other women in dorm style setting. It brought back some of my own camp memories. I even got to have the top bunk. However as an adult I think the bottom is preferred. I was only about 6 inches from the ceiling! I bumped my head several times.
The kitchen is not so bad. At least I am in the lunch room most of the time. So I get to talk to all the people.( I am an extrovert-so that is fun to me!) I restock the salad bar and clean up the tables. The down part is all the other mom have the same schedule. They work end then they are done. I work 2hrs and the have a break, work 2 hrs then have a break, work 2 hrs then have a break. I never have a chunk of time off long enough to do anything. Some of the other moms have gone into town and gone shopping! I am not going to complain. I am going to be thankful! Stay tuned

Summer Camp! -Day 1

My daughter has been asking to go to gymnastics camp for years! First of all it cost a fortune. Secondly she gets scared sleeping at the neighbors! I finally came up with a plan. If I go as a camp mom, It is half priced and I would be there with her. So I submitted the application and waited! and waited! and waited! I told my daughter it must not have worked out because I did no hear anything.
Finally I decided to call. I was accepted but not as a camp mom, as the kitchen helper! Yeah me! I was still excited for her to have the opportunity. However a little leary of what a kitchen helper would entail.
The day has finally arrived for my daughter and I to drive off to camp. This was a very exciting time for us.( I have 4 kids) So to spend 3 hours of time just the 2 of us was rewarding in and of itself.
We arrived a little early. While we were looking around she saw one of her friends. Off they went together. Then I had to find somthing to do by myself! That was a wierd experience. I have not been alone like that in 15 years! I was happy to see her go off so quickly. Before she new it several different groups of her friends arrived and she did not know who to hang out with. She felt like she did not fit in with any of them and was crying in my arms. For the rest of the day she was glued to my side. Good thing I was there or she would have been wanting to come home!
By the evenning I taughter how to fit her self in a group and she was ok. Good thing because I had to go work in the kitchen! Stay tuned for more camp advetures!

Jewels For Mom!

I have to take my gifts where I can find them. Recently 2 of my kids gave me beautiful Jewels!
I was talking to my 12 year old son ( a little background, we told him he is not allowed to date until he is 16. Last week when I picked him up from school a girl came out and gave him a hug!) I asked him who that was and he said Brittany! I said is she your girlfriend? He said no! However I was skeptical. This week I decided I needed to take him on a mother son date. While we were shopping I asked him about Brittany again. He said she asked me out, but I said NO. She asked him why and he said because my mom won't let me. She said "Oh! you love your mom!" and he said Yep! I count that as a victory! I will have to share the other one later.

A day at the Beach!

This has been a cold spring. It is the beginning of June and it has inly been above 80 once I think. Last weekend we went to the beach to play at the park. The kids want to get in the water so bad!
Mk is almost a teenager now. So I let him and his friend go play on the swings at the other side of the park. I was however keeping an eye on them. When i noticed an older boy was watching them and talking to them. I didn't think to much of it at first because he was there with his girl friend. (They were around 17) The next thing I know he is going to his car. I felt the need to get closer and see what was going on. When I got over there I saw, he went to get his game boy. MK and GL were showing him how to beat the level! LOL His girlfriend was over there texting all about that to her friends. What a tech world they are growing up in. At least I didn't have anything to be concerned about! Other than the fact, that even at a park while on the swings, they still want to play Video games!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday we tried the beach again. However after 1 hour I think they were starting to get hypothermia!

A new Journey Begins

We have had a tough couple of years. I feel like we have turned a corner. We are now on the upward trek. We have made our way out of the crevice.
It is strange how some of your toughest moments can turn out to be good. We had a fire this year. In the middle of the chaos, the only thing I thought of was to get my family safe! When we had nothing our friends and church surrounded us and provided for all of our needs. I also learned how little we actually need, and how spoiled we were. Even though we did not realize it.
We are getting settled again. I just need to keep reminding myself, how little we actually need and Family is the most important thing. It is funny how quickly I forget. Now that I am getting settled I feel the need to make my home nice. Which is understandable, but 2 months ago I did not care if my sheets and comforter were matching. Just that we had a blanket. I am just trying to find a middle ground.
We our thankful for everyone who supported us during this tough time. The blankets, food and toys met a lot.
